LASC Solicits Comments on New Judiciary Commission Rules

The Louisiana Supreme Court has distributed for public comment three proposed revisions to Rule XXIII governing proceedings before the Judiciary Commission. At least one of the revisions is probably unconstitutional. Why does it violate the First Amendment?

Lawyer Suspended for Outrageous Harassment of Paralegal

Why did this lawyer call his paralegal a stupid, dumb, fat, whorey, dirtbag, bitch?  Because he "learned the lingo from rappers and hip-hop artists while practicing entertainment law and . . . he believed he was using the phrases in more of a humorous than a harmful way." That's no excuse.
