We'll also be announcing the winner of our 2018 RBC Michelle Jackson Emerging Filmmaker award and our five Incubator Project participants.

Big congratulations to our Board Member, Allison White, on being selected for the 2018 Academy Apprenticeship for Women Directors! Allison was one of eight women selected across the country for this apprenticeship, and she was the only woman selected from Atlantic Canada. 

Allison is an award-winning writer/director/producer whose first feature film, Cast No Shadow, took home six awards at the Atlantic Film Festival, including Best Motion Picture. It also received four nominations at the Canadian Screen Awards including Best Motion Picture. Allison is currently working on another feature film and has been a board member with our Festival since 2013.
