August 2018 Newsletter:

The Summer weather is still here, but Fall sports start next week! Can you believe it? Thank you for your continuted support throughout the year!

Highlights from the last month include our Hidden in Plain Sight (HIPS) exhibit at a couple new places and a special site visit from our federal grant Project Officer. The HIPS exhibit traveled to the Winona County Fair, spent two days at the Winona Friendship Center, and made available at the Winona Health Nurses Skills Fair. Since launching the exhibit in February 2017 we have had nearly 500 families participate to-date. If you have questions about the exhibit or would like to request a showing for a group or organization please email info@winonacountyasap.org

A dozen of our volunteers also met with our federal grant Project Officer from the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to receive guidance and encouragement. Our Project Officer said she had a great time in such a beautiful area, and was pleased to hear about the progress our community is making around substance abuse issues.

You are always welcome to join the drug-prevention conversation anytime!
Please check out our next Public Board Meeting which will take place on Monday, August 20th, 2018 from 2:30pm-4:00pm at Pleasant Valley Church. You can email the Program Coordinator with any questions:
