This is our TIME TOGETHER. Today our world is 7.6 Billion people who know very well what is happening across the waters on the other side of the world.  It is the transformation of this our generation, our TIME TOGETHER to shape this world into a FAMILY that is TOGETHER in understanding, compassion and hope.  This is our call to pass on to the next generation.  It is the only reason I continue working to make it possible for us to come TOGETHER to experience the ways of love which build justice~harmony linked TOGETHER for each one of us as human beings. 

I am dedicated to OUR TIME TOGETHER to make this a new world.

DIPLOMATICS OF THE ARK FAMILY, OLD AND NEW!

It is important to read the news shared by Kumars on Iran and Anwar on Pakistan.  Both of these countries impact the ARK FAMILY with their history, desire for freedom and current changes.
 
Chiqui Ryan, ARK FAMILY member was born in San Lucas Village, Guatemala, of our ARK FAMILY.  She will be in Guatemala for several weeks raising money for the victims of the recent tragic volcano disaster.  She will also be meeting with the San Lucas ARK FAMILY updating them and getting their involvement in our GO TOGETHER at the next ARK FAMILY SUMMIT in ARMENIA.
 
ARMENIA, like Pakistan, just went through a major change that will make life more just for the citizens.  It will also move ARMENIA on the world stage with powerful teaching experience for the whole world.   This will be featured in the SEPTEMBER ARK NEWSLETTER.
 
Our DIPLOMATIC ROLE as the ARK FAMILY embracing Iran, Pakistan, Armenia as ARK FAMILY MEMBERS has been clearly spelled out by Raffi Balian who works for the U.S. State Department, he says:
 
“For me, the first trait that is critical to be a DIPLOMAT is humility, know what you don’t know; be humble about admitting you don’t know it and ask for help to learn.  Connected to that is an ability to listen, find the scientist and other policy experts in any of the United Nations Embassies around the world and then decide if  it  is a right fit for the challenge to bring about justice for people. The role of a DIPLOMAT is to be able to connect honest thinking with actions of a compassionate heart.  If it creates a better life for people, then use your energy to get others to work for it with you.  Keep your eyes wide open and be fully aware of the challenges they see and face.”
 
In the world today, respecting the diversity of culture, race, language, religion is important as we prepare to come TOGETHER and then GO into our homes, communities bringing the best we have to offer as DIPLOMATS.

Pakistan Under Khan - For a cricket crazy nation like Pakistan, back in 1992, Imran Khan brought what they wanted the most – the World Cup. He had always been popular with the Pakistani masses but the Cup in hand increased his popularity by manifold. Soon afterwards he called it a day, hanged his gloves, and entered the world of philanthropy. Not too long ago, he had seen his mother dying of cancer; which also made him realize that it was a very expensive treatment which not all the patients could afford. He had not been able to save his mother but he decided to save the near and dear ones of others from meeting the same fate. The construction of state of art cancer hospital was an uphill task yet with the help of donations from home and abroad, Khan was able to build one. Khan himself belonged to elite class and had been a pampered child. As a young boy, who even went to do his graduation from Oxford, he was the heartthrob of many girls. He had a charming personality and an aura surrounding him, which some compared with that of the Greek gods. With such a persona, coupled with cricket fame, he soon came to be known as the most eligible bachelor not only in Lahore but also in London. All this aside, the entire campaign of generating the funds for the hospital and then the actual experience of running it brought him closer to the plight of the poor and the needy. He decided to broaden his canvas and launched a political party of his own with the name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Pakistan Justice Movement). His political struggle, spanning over more than two decades, had been primarily aimed at bringing justice, fairness and equality to the society and to eradicate corruption. The struggle turned out to be long and arduous but it finally paid dividends in recent months when he was not only able to oust the sitting prime minister through a judicial process but to get him convicted on charges of corruption. And when elections were held the last month, his party returned as the largest in the national parliament, thus paving the way for him to become the prime minister. The moment of change, which Khan had been preaching and promising all these years, has finally arrived. There is air of  hope and optimism all over Pakistan. ~ Ehtasham Anwar

Why ARK? Ark protects the integrity of each participant regardless of her/his age, gender race and/or social/political background, ARK provides the platform for each member to grow freely and climbing to higher levels to assume a proactive role in one’s own community and more on international level. 
 

I am so proud to be in this diversified decent ARK family. I feel the spirit and positive energy flowing from and to all members. I feel God has a reason why we all come together each summit in this unique program. I feel honored and blessed. Everyone has their own parts of their identity that make them uniquely them. We each have different strengths and weaknesses, and that's what has allowed humanity to survive. However, through fear, ignorance and misunderstanding, we sometimes use these differences to drive us apart. We must remember that there is so much more that unites us than divides us. We all have so much more in common than we realize. In times of turmoil and division, we have a duty to remind ourselves of this everyday, and to strive to find the humanity in each other for the peace of our world. ~ Elsa Lee
