Finding God-Ordained Moments...in a Taxi
It's not often that you get a captive audience for a whole hour. But when you do, there's just one thing to do: Talk about Jesus.
While on a trip this month, I (Dan) drove with a guy named Gino from the airport in Split, Croatia, to my final destination in the city of Sibenik. Gino spoke very good English, and we hit it off right away. Before long, we were talking about what I do, and he had lots of questions about my faith. While he was very familiar with Catholicism (most Croatians consider themselves to be Catholic), he did not know anything about what it would be like to have a relationship with Christ, and I was able to present the Gospel to him. Please pray for Gino! His heart is open, and I believe God is doing a work in his life.
Also this month, Dan was part of an historic meeting in Vienna, Austria where two regional leadership teams (Africa and Europe) came together for a strategic summit. There are millions of Pentecostal Africans in Europe, many with missionary hearts, that could have a huge impact for the Gospel. There were great things that came out of the meetings, and our role will be to continue to develop messaging as things move forward.
While in the previously mentioned stop in Croatia, we had many other meetings, busily preparing for an all-Europe missionary gathering in the spring, which will provide training, encouragement and opportunities for community-building. We're looking forward to helping to make this an impactful event for our community.
We started serving on Dream Teams at our church, and are excited to continue to be involved as much as possible in a place where we are seeing God move and people come to know Him every single week. On a personal note, Alicia's parents came to visit this month for a few days (it's always nice to see family when you live far away) and we celebrated Piper's third birthday!
We are thankful for you!
With gratitude,
Dan & Alicia (Paisley, Piper, and Ana!)
