Spreading Mercy

August is a popular month to get married, & one staple of wedding celebrations is wine. In one of his homilies, Pope Francis highlighted the Wedding Feast of Cana & how Jesus brought hope to everyone at the feast. How can we bring the wine of the feast to our brothers & sisters in need? How can we ensure that those who are excluded from the celebrations & dignities of life have a seat at the table of plenty? How can we spread mercy to all who come into our lives?

Please consider joining members of St. Matthew's parish at these upcoming service opportunities.

"The best wine will come to those who today feel hopelessly lost...God always seeks out the peripheries, those who have run out of wine, those who drink only of discouragement. Jesus feels their weakness, in order to pour out the best wines for those who, for whatever reason, feel that all their jars have been broken." Homily of Pope Francis in Samanes Park, Ecuador, July 2015.
