Hi, I'm Amy, and I write this Weekly Well Check as a resource for you. This email may include affiliate links, and you can read my disclosure policy here.
Hi there,

I've been reflecting on all that led me to become an integrative health coach.

And while that job title wasn't on my radar a decade ago, that's about when my story begins. When I realized I had to course-correct my own life for my physical, mental, and emotional health.

That's a photo of me - and my fried dough, both of us sprinkled with powdered sugar - in October 2008 at the NC State Fair.

I look pretty happy eating my favorite fair food that day. But when I see this photo now, I remember how miserable I felt inside.

For that reason, I don't love this photo. But I keep it around to remind me:

* Change is possible, even if it takes a while,
* Small steps done consistently lead to transformation, and
* I'm worth the effort.

And I believe we all are.

A few months after this photo was taken, I reached a low point, and even though I wasn't sure how or where to begin, I started taking steps to change my life from the inside out.

Fast-forward to 2018.

Hundreds of personal and professional steps later, I'm a national board certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC). And I recognize a lot of people are in the same sailboat I used to be in, drifting along because they're not sure where or how to begin a course-correction.

So today, if that's you, I want to encourage you.

If you've been feeling stuck lately in habits that aren't serving you well, you don't have to stay there. And you don't have to figure it out all alone.

If your doctor has diagnosed you with a chronic disease or said you're at risk of one unless you change your ways, you may be left confused and wondering, "What do I do now?"

Statistics show that 86 cents of every dollar spent on health care in the United States are for chronic diseases that could have been prevented by or improved by lifestyle changes.

A health coach can help you make those changes. Have you ever considered working with one?

I offer an initial 20-minute phone call for free, so we can determine if coaching might be right for you. I listen to what's going on with you and we talk more about what health coaching is.

If you'd like to schedule an initial call, just reply to this message with your contact information and 3-4 days/times in the next week that might work for you. I'll email you back to set up a call.

(And watch for an upcoming announcement about some group coaching I'll be coordinating this fall!)

Whether we chat or not, know that I believe in you. Thanks for being here and taking care of you,

Amy

P.S. Here's how integrative health coaching transformed my life recently.
