On Monday, August 27, 7pm we'll be chanting and discussing the mantra OM AH HUM and what it might mean to “clarify, or purify” our body, speech, and mind. In the second hour we'll talk about Padmasambhava of Tibet and his 12-syllable mantra. Please join us if you can!
Book Group is starting up in Fall - Please let Edna know if you are interested.
"While we are sitting in meditation, we are simply exploring humanity and all of creation in the form of ourselves. We can become the world's greatest experts on anger, jealousy, and self-deprecation, as well as on joyfulness, clarity, and insight. Everything that human beings feel, we feel. We can become extremely wise and sensitive to all of humanity and the whole universe simply by knowing ourselves, just as we are. " Excerpted from: Awakening Loving-Kindness by Pema Chödrön, page 9
The Valley Youth House is a shelter and part of the Synergy Project, an outreach program designed to help runaway youths under the age of 21 years. They service 4,000 youths in 13 counties, including Bucks and Phila. County.
The BSBC is committed to helping the shelter raise funds and school supplies (including Google Chrome Books). There is an active drive over the next month to focus on the upcoming school year. More to come on this...

We collect and deliver donations to the Emergency Homeless Shelter. They are always in need of non perishable food items, paper products, and gift cards. However check out their Wish List if you want to give them what they really need.
We also collect for the local pet shelter. They need pet food and pet supplies (doesn't need to be new).
