Dear Friends,
I took the summer offline. It is so easy to forget why we actually do the work we do. But it's also so easy to remember. My love for this world runs as deep as the blood in my veins and the bones in my skeleton. This summer, I travelled to Spain and Portugal and reconnected to my spirit, so that I could return to my beautiful work of teaching, creating music and publishing the Yellow Lotus Flower book, with true passion and purpose. So I am grateful to be recharged. May we never forget why we do what we do. And when we do forget, may we remember as soon as possible.
My dear friend and collaborator Hillary Mendoza worked her illustrative magic this summer and put the final brushstrokes into our upcoming children's book about rising up from dark times. I am beyond excited for this book to come out this fall. We are a week away from sending it off to the publishers for editing, fine-tuning and printing. Here is a sneak peak into the development of our characters, Lotus Girl and the pond creatures:
