Key insights from PATAmPOWER
Scheduled flight frequency from the Philippines and Indonesia to Thailand projected to soar in 2018
Total scheduled inbound flight frequency from Southeast Asia to Thailand in 2018 is expected to grow by 3.8 percent compared to the previous year, boosted largely by increasing flights from Malaysia and Vietnam. However, the Philippines and Indonesia will likely dominate the percentage growth chart with double-digit growth rates of +18.2 percent and +13.4 percent year-on-year, respectively. Moderate growth from Lao PDR and Brunei Darussalam will also contribute to Thailand’s favourable performance. This would outweigh the expected slight decrease in scheduled flights from Cambodia (-1.6%), Myanmar (-1.6%) and Singapore (-0.6%) in 2018.
