I, as likely many of you, have been struggling to understanding the gun debate in the United States for a very long time. Since the shootings at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, I have found some hope seeing the students fight against the inaction of law-makers as well as corporations ending preferential rates and loyalty programs to the NRA.
After testing the service for the past few months, I am pleased to announce that we have moved our courier business from FedEx to UPS. This is not only an ethical move on the part of Becker Associates, but it has also resulted in considerable savings to our clients; who will now see more than a 30% reduction in their shipping expenses.
I started to review our supplier relations such as the airlines and hotels we use. Of all the major companies we use, FedEx stood out for its refusal to end preferred rates to NRA members. Their argument being to charge them the same rates as us, and our valued clients, would amount to discrimination. I contacted the FedEx customer relations department about this twice and received no response.
I am pleased that we have made this change. It sits better with my soul. And I hope that our clients agree that the change is for a just cause. If not, then there are always the savings we negotiated.
