Welcome to our Newsletter for August 2018.

By now I guess many of you have completed your tax or thinking you should be doing it.
Personally I hate this time of year as I don’t particularly like thinking about numbers and doing additional paperwork, however it’s one of those things we all have to do to keep the tax man off our case.

As of the 1^st July 2018 new legalisation commenced requiring Vendors & Purchasers of properties that may be a taxable supply and GST applicable, to provide GST/tax information and complete additional forms in order to ensure payment to the ATO of any GST applicable.

As is normal for this time of year, the property market is slow. However, even though the market prices have dropped slightly, we have seen an increase in sales with fair prices being achieved.

Spring is just around the corner and many of you may be considering putting your properties on the market. If this is the case contact our office for advice on the latest requirements and legalisation that need to be considered prior to marketing your property.

I have some exciting news to share with you all. I am now a Nanna, with my granddaughter being born just a few weeks ago. Whilst this makes me feel old it is also a very exciting and special time.
