NAFTA Update : What You Need to Know 

This Monday, President Donald Trump and President Enrique Pena Nieto announced a new bilateral trade agreement, called the U.S.-Mexico Trade Agreement, which is meant to replace NAFTA.

President Enrique Pena Nieto emphasized repeatedly the importance of Canada joining the talks and incorporating into the deal.

The White House intends to send Congress a notice of the deal this Friday, placing pressure on Canadian negotiators.

Whether this deadline is credible or reason for concern is up for debate.
