Can you help? We are seeking participants for a couple of intriguing audio recording walks to take place in Grays Inn Road on a Friday early in October.  SONIC NOTES, is a Heritage Lottery funded project to capture oral and audio recordings of soon to be redundant hospitals.  By August 2019, the workforce and resources from the Eastman Dental and Ear, Nose and Throat hospitals will have been transferred to new premises on Huntly Street, where a new artwork that incorporates legacy recordings will be installed for five years.  You could be part of this grand-breaking project, part of which will be working with specialist health professionals.  Please click here to use our Get in Touch page to register your interest.
From the Museum of Walking community: Check out this intriguing audio walk on a route through the Woolwich foot tunnel available the last two weekends of September Book now or read more

FLOAT is a site specific and participatory audio walk. You will be taken on an experiential journey through the Woolwich foot tunnel, from North to South, ending at a reflective vista of the river Thames and the city.

The performance is designed for a group of people who will share the experience together, although it can be booked individually. Each participant will start the journey 30 seconds apart from each other, thus creating a visual and sonic canon, a choreography evocative of water.

By the instructions of a child’s voice, you will be provoked into having both a physical and emotional response. The foot tunnel will become a social space where a communal river dance is taking place. Float will invite you to playfully perform, obey and defy the instructions participating in the overall choreography.
