Trip to Stamford and Burghley House: Monday 17th September
Visit the historic market town of Stamford, followed by an expert guided tour of England’s greatest Elizabethan house. Built by William Cecil (Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I) between 1555 and 1587, Burghley has 35 major rooms on the ground and first floors.
We have 22 spaces available on the ‘executive minibus’, and tickets are only £35 (concessions) or £45 (full price). This includes travel, admission to Burghley, and the guided tour.
Programme:
10.00am - Minibus leaves St Giles’ Church.
11.30am - Arrive in Stamford. Free time to explore.
1.30pm - Travel to Burghley house. Visit gardens.
3.00pm - Guided tour of the house.
4.30pm - Leave Burghley house
6.00pm - Arrive at St Giles’ Church.
