Dear friends and partners,
 
Welcome back to an exciting new school year in LA Unified! We hit the ground running for the first week of school—from a 12-stop, 14-hour tour all across the District with our Board President and new Superintendent to several get-togethers and conversations with over 400 families right here in Board District 4.
 
I know from visiting every school in my district last year that the best way to make decisions in the Boardroom is to understand their impact in our classrooms. This can only be accomplished by meeting with stakeholders to discuss the visions we share for our individual school communities and the collective future of this District. 
 
I’m looking forward to another year of visiting schools, meeting with families and school staff, and continuing our progress toward putting kids first in L.A. Unified.
