GENERAL INFORMATION
Morea car park drop-off zone
Please note the drop-off zone in the staff car park behind Morea boarding house has been closed. All student pick-ups and drop-offs are now to happen at the front of the school. This is to free up additional car parking space for students and staff, and also limit the traffic on Hodge Terrace at peak times. Thank you for your understanding.

Notification of withdrawal
We are in the process of finalising enrolments for 2019. In order to assist us, it would be greatly appreciated if parents intending to withdraw their daughter (Year 7 to 12) at the end of 2018 could please email the Principal’s Assistant, Deb McPherson, enquiries@woodford.school.nz by 5pm, Monday 15 October, 2018 (this is the first full day of Term 4). Enrolment contracts require a term’s notice of withdrawal, otherwise one term’s fees are payable in lieu.
Grandparents’ Day
Grandparents' Day will take place at Woodford House next week on Friday 24 August. More details are available to download here.
TeamUp with Tremains
Woodford House has started a new partnership with Tremains called TeamUp with Tremains. When a person (they do not need to be associated with Woodford House), lists their property for sale with Tremains, they have the opportunity to register Woodford House as a nominated fundraising recipient. If they nominate Woodford House, when their property is sold, Tremains will give $500 directly to Woodford House. This is a fantastic fundraising initiative and we thank Tremains for partnering with Woodford House. View more details here.
Parent Seminar
Parents and caregivers of Year 9-13 students are invited to a free ‘Parents as Career Educators’ seminar on Tuesday 28 August 2018. Presented by a career consultant from the University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha (UC), the seminar will take place on Tuesday 28 August from 7pm - 8:30pm at Greenmeadows East Community Hall, 83 Tait Drive, Greenmeadows, Napier.
Please register online here.
Mindful Movement Class
The 45-minute Mindful Movement classes this term have been created specifically with the needs of Woodford House students and staff in mind. These are held at school each Monday evening from 4.45pm - 5.30pm and are run by Mel from Cape Yoga.
The class begins with breathing and mindfulness practice to encourage a quick, easy transition from the busyness of the day to a calm and soothing connectedness. Flowing from this a short sequence in gentle movement releasing stress, tightness and tension in the body. Finally, the participants are guided through a peaceful relaxation, allowing the body and mind to rest and restore. Spaces in the class are still available.
