Hi there,

We're humbled by the amazing response to our very first The Art of Work event. All 100 tickets have already sold out! We just added Blendle's Alexander Klöpping to our line-up, take a look at our complete line-up here. If you really-really want to join the event, but haven't had the chance to grab a ticket, just hit reply and we'll put you on the waiting list. There's a chance we might be moving to a bigger space.

On a different note, after launching our first guide The Art of Employer Branding, we're now working on a new one: The Art of Job Interviewing. Since we can't know everything about this topic, we'd like your help: what question do you always ask when interviewing candidates? Let us know by replying to this email. We'll add a selection of your tips to our to be released guide!

Back to business, this edition includes a must read on feedback, our interview with Bakken& Baeck, a plead for a cultural broker and why digital nomads are not the future.

Enjoy reading our newsletter? Please forward it to someone who'll appreciate it too. Keep up the good work and thank you!

FEEDBACK

How to give feedback the right way

- Impraise

There is no universal best practice model for giving feedback. At Homerun we're working hard on creating our own framework. What does good feedback mean for us? What are the requirements for receiving feedback the right way? This article really helped us with practical do's and don'ts for the language we use when giving feedback.

REMOTE

Digital nomads are not the future
- Medium

It might sound like we're completely against digital nomads, which isn't what we're trying to say. This article is about the privileges of many digital nomads and how they barely have an eye for their environment. Therefore doing more harm than good. We included this article because it made us think. Is there a way to be a digital nomad and give back to the local environment? There must be.

DIVERSITY

The most creative teams have a specific type of cultural diversity

- HBR
Diverse teams have the potential to be more creative but these teams often suffer from conflicting norms between members, which can keep them from reaching their full creative potential. Professor Sujin Jang researched creative and diverse teams and concludes that each team needs a 'cultural' broker', a member who has relatively more multicultural experience than others and who acts as a bridge between their monocultural teammates.

A must read for those wanting to enrich their company culture the right way.

The Art of Work

A talk with Bakken & Bæck

- Medium

Today, we're attending An Interesting Day, a one-day conference on the boundaries of work and play, organised by our friends over at Bakken & Bæck, come say hi if you're there too!

We recently talked to their founder Tobias and HR manager Gunvor about serendipity, building trust and designing an experience for the working life. If you haven't read it yet, make sure to not miss out.
