To everything there is a season, and our’s is coming to an end. Tonight’s your last chance of 2018 to watch solid walls swallow strong offense and suffer physics-defying jumps and jukes. The season must end, because nothing gold can stay, and only one can slay. Will the Stix retain their reputation as the hardest hue to hold? Or will this season turn into something new?

Bout 1 @ 5:00 PM: Glamma Rays vs. Toxic Shocks

When this season began, the Glamma Rays had just found their identity, fueling brand new interplanetary travel with big hopes and bigger hits. This August, they face the same foe as they did in the very beginning: the Toxic Shocks. In January the Shocks beat the Rays by a paltry 9 points- could the season’s close be just as close? Light waves may go the distance but lightning tends to pack a punch. Be ready for the blinding lights in this battle.

Bout 2 @ 7:30 PM: Apocalypstix vs. Denim Demons

A whole season has passed and we’re in for the same edge-of-your-seats action as 2017, when the Demons last played the Stix in the championship game. Last year’s champs bout was a nail-biter, as lead changed back and forth up until the very last jam, where the Stix slid into the win by just three points. The Stix raised the stakes this January, when they beat the Demons with a comfy 36 point lead. Are the Demons ready to bring the flood for 2018? Make sure to have your life-jackets securely fastened as you spectate this smack down.
These tickets sell out fast! Make sure you’re ready to meet us at Yaarab Shrine in Midtown while dawn goes down to day. Ours is a season for cold drinks and savory snacks, so make sure to visit the beer tent, vendors, and food trucks. Doors for game one open at 4, and the live band plays between the games and at each games’ halftime. And don’t forget to bring your friends! Join the Atlanta roller derby family as the season turns.
