Alireza Bagheri is now the Health Ethics Alliance Ethicist providing full-time support to The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
Anant Bhan was elected as President of the Board of the International Association of Bioethics.
Qaiser Fahim joined the ethics team in the The Regional Ethics Program at Trillium Health Partners on a part-time basis.
Andrew Franklin-Hall received a 2018 Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
Patrick Jachyra received the 2018-19 Autism Scholars Award from the Council of Ontario Universities.
Melissa McCradden was awarded the DLSPH Health and Human Rights Prize for the best paper on health and human rights submitted by a gradutate student to a course during the academic year.
Marnina Norys and Jamie Roberston are the new Fellows in Clinical and Organizational Ethics at the Centre for Clinical Ethics.
Michael Szego received the IMS 2018 Course Lecturer Award for his lecture "Principles of Research Ethics". This award is presented annually for a sustained contribution of three years or more to excellence in lecturing in an IMS course.
Ross Upshur's abstract "The perspectives of people who use drugs and health care providers about what leads to illicit drug use during hospital admissions" was recognized as a top scientific abstract by the 26th International HPH Conference.
