Hope Happenings
Week of August 19, 2018
|
|
|
You remember the old saying from elementary school:
“Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” Join us this week at Hope Church as we explore together the power of words; their ability to build up and to tear down.
Blessings - Pastor Nate Roschen

Todd + Rebekah Cook Visit - August 19
The Cooks, missionaries from England, are visiting Hope Church this Sunday, August 19. They will provide a brief update on their ministry during the service and will be available to talk afterward.
Child Census Forms
Planning is underway for Sunday School and Youth Group and we'd like to know who's participating. Child Census forms are available in the foyer at church. If each family with children could fill one out and leave it in the church office this week, that would be appreciated. We can also email you the form. Just send a message to hope@hefc.org. Thank you!
Ladies' Book Club
The next Book Club meeting for The Lies Women Believe is Monday, August 27 at 5:30pm at Katie Severson's home. If this day doesn't work for you, there is another option. Call Katie for details ( 715-417-1595).
Hospitality Teams
After-service treats will resume in September and a few more people are needed for the Hospitality Teams. Please sign up in the foyer if you can help. Contact Twyla Pennel with any questions (twydale@centurytel.net, 612-750-0677).
Nursery Room Items
We are giving away unneeded items from our nurseries! These items are in the nursery hallway. If you can use something, or know someone who can, or if you are willing to bring it to a donation spot, please take them. We need to remove these items ASAP.
Baptism + Membership
Pastor Nate and the Elders would like to speak with those interested in either baptism or church membership. They are happy to answer any questions you have. Please contact them, or email the office if you are interested.
