Although it has only been two months since my last cycling or chaplain email, it has been over a decade since I had the privilege of travelling overseas. At first it was aversion to leaving the States, because I had done so plenty while serving in the navy, and not all of those deployments were two thumbs up. Then came a career in Corporate America, being called to plant a Church, and finally starting a family. For the longest time, I did not think journeying to far away lands was on my radar, but God had plans for me to be blessed, and be a blessing, by traveling once again. Earlier this year I cycled with the Danes in Richmond VA, and barely three months later, I was invited to Denmark!

America has come a long way since the Vietnam era, in appreciating the sacrifices of our veterans, but some countries are not quite there yet. But after seeing how we do things in America, our comrades in Copenhagen decided it was time to make a change. Their German neighbors jumped on board, as did veterans and supporters from around the globe, and before you knew it, Bike Denmark 2018 was born. The best part is knowing God will be glorified, as I was invited to serve as a Chaplain, and we will begin each day with a short devotional, then prayer. And before the ride started, I was able to visit the Viking Museum… it is such an exciting honor to serve, and have fun.

Please pray for the riders and supporters, as we cycle through Denmark and Germany And if you feel called to financially make a difference, feel free to leverage http://messiahechad.org/give, and annotate “Veteran Outreach”.
