August bank holiday weekend -
useful health advice to help keep you and your family well
Here is some useful advice ahead of the bank holiday weekend. Please take a few moments to read this information and share with others.
  • GP practices will be closed on Monday August 27
  • If you use repeat prescription medicine please make sure you'll have enough to last. It usually takes at least 48 hours for your GP practice to process a repeat prescription request
  • Keep a stock of basic medicines, such as paracetamol and sticking plasters, so you can deal with minor illness and injury
  • Pharmacies are a great source of help and advice if you feel unwell. You can see a list of pharmacies in Suffolk and surrounding counties which are open on bank holiday Monday HERE
  • You can access urgent medical help and advice 24/7 by calling the NHS 111 service - a trained advisor will help you. You can also access the Suffolk GP+ service through NHS 111.  Or you can access NHS 111 Online HERE
