“Crosstown traffic, so hard to get through to you”

Win exclusive tickets to Oxford Beacon lighting event to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War

We’ll be joining more than 1000 locations around the United Kingdom in lighting a special Beacon of Light to mark the centenary of the Armistice of the First World War on 11th November 2018 as part of “Battle’s Over”: a nationwide commemoration programme of events.
The Castle Mound will not be accessible to the public during the event but we'd like to invite 40 Oxfordshire residents to join dignitaries and military representatives for a drinks reception, and then the beacon-lighting ceremony itself.

Tickets will be allocated to YourOxfordshire subscribers drawn at random who send their name, guests name if applicable, address and email address to your@oxfordshire.gov.uk

The closing date is midnight on the 30th of September and we'll be announcing the draw on October 1st
