          In the last 10 days of August leading up to and including our return to Haiti, it felt like we were a "hen feather caught up in a whirly-gust". This is a very abbreviated DeRoos Drumbeat, as we just didn't have time to write a timely August newsletter. No worries, we will share in full at the end of September.

          For most of our stay this summer, we knew we would decide what to do with our home.  Due to a number of extenuating circumstances, we just weren't able to get things resolved up till the last minute. Once we started the process to rent our home, we approached a Realtor friend who helped us with a credible house rental post.  The whirly-gust picked up. Our front door became a revolving door for two days resulting in 12 applicants.  We ended up moving most of our belongings, and either stored special keepsakes in storage or gifted the Olive Branch, a local church run second hand store, with numerous boxes and items. It wasn't till August 28 that the house was empty and in a rental state.  We left for Haiti on August 29.

            While we have chosen to keep this short and sweet for the sake of time, we did want to thank you for all the prayer support we have felt over the last few months.  We traveled many miles, with numerous events and special occasions, and God has been so good to us.  Every aspect of our time home far exceeded our expectations, and we know it was because of faithful friends keeping us in their prayers.  We are blessed to have the support team we have and do not take lightly how busy life is for you and the competition out there for your time and resources.  May the Lord shine His face upon you and keep you in all you do!!  Our hearts are extremely grateful!!

	Pray for a quick adjustment and transition to life in Haiti.
	Praise the Lord for safe and uneventful travel back to Haiti.
	Please pray for wisdom and focus in ministry.
	Praise the Lord for His timing and finding renters for our home in Alta.
