From the information provided, a group called Great Jones Hospitality LLC, 
comprised of Anthony C. Marano, Scott Marano, Jonathan Kavourakis and Byron 
Burnbaum, is becoming the primary investor in J.F. Jones Inc. d/b/a Great Jones 
Café after the death of James Moffett.  Anthony Marano owns the building.  
Great Jones Café has been open since 1983 and has continually had a liquor 
license since then.  They state that “I plan to continue the grand tradition of 
the café serving fine Cajun cuisine, reasonably priced and served in a warm 
and convivial atmosphere”.  The hours of operation that are presented are from 
11AM to 4AM 7 days.  There are 8 tables, 31 seats and 1 bar with 5 seats. 
They state they are a restaurant with background music.  There is existing 
sound proofing. 1 employee will be designated to ensure that at all times the 
sidewalk will not become a nuisance to neighbors.

The materials also state: Anthony Marano will be a Full time manager, 
Byron Burnbaum will be a full time manager, Jonathan Kavourakis will 
be Chef and operator.

Other license affiliations for proposed new principals: Jonathan Kavourakis 
is also a principal in Mokbar II LLC d/b/a Mokbar, 212 Flatbush Ave., Brooklyn 
and is currently Chef at Vandal, 199 Bowery.  Byron Burnbaum is a Principal in 
East Village Hospitality d/b/a Pinks, 242 East 10th St. and Cantina 203 LLC d/b/a 
Pinks Cantina, 203 Chrystie St.

A decidedly non-Cajun menu is attached. 
We have separately notified all members on Great Jones St. for their feedback.

Request for traffic and pedestrian safety improvements at Cooper Sq. Plaza crossing (4th Ave. to Bowery at E. 6th St.), including speed humps, signage and other safety measures.
