Greg Horne Music News
Hi friends!

I’m writing from the backseat of a van heading through green and gold Illinois cornfields, heading home from a short tour with my dear friends Wild Ponies. Every now and then I get to pack up my fiddles and guitars to travel with these fine folks from East Nashville. We had a great time on this run, from Lake Charles, LA to Grey Eagle, MN. Check them out at http://www.wildponies.net/, and also the blog of our fabulous British/Texan drummer/mandolinist Katie Marie (https://touringmusician.wordpress.com).

It was especially fun for me to be able to do about half the show on pedal steel, which I’ve been working on playing all winter and spring. I can’t wait to get out on the road with them again sometime soon.

Here we are rocking out the stage at KDHX St. Louis:

And here’s a couple from our trip to Riverdog Concerts in Ohio last month:

Back in Knoxville, I’ve got some shows coming up that I’m really looking forward to! There are solo shows, a band show, and a couple with R.B. Morris.

A very special show will be a rare dual bill on October 12 with my brother Tenzin Chopak, who is making a trip from his home in Ithaca to play a few shows in the South. We’ll be playing together for an evening at the Laurel Theater, which is one of our favorite rooms anywhere.
