Impacting young people over the summer.


The summer can be a great opportunity for churches to reach, connect and impact the lives of young people in their church and local communities. 

Over the 6 weeks of the summer holidays, many church youth groups provide days out, camps and trips to conferences for their young people. 

We spoke with two youth pastor's who ran youth camps for their churches. They spoke of amazing stories of lives changed and young people returning to their local churches changed and ready to push into all that God has for them. 

Net Church - Dartford
Extraordinary Escapes 2018 (Net Church's summer camp) took place across the 58 acres of 'Carroty Wood Adventure Centre'. 

Over three days, four congregations of Net Church youth went away together, setting time aside for God encounters, hilarious games and building family amongst the young people!

We were privileged to have Pastors Jeronne and Leanne Rudder speak three transformational messages into our theme of 'Freedom', with honest, vulnerable and real practical application into the young lives.

"Ade 15, one of our newest 'Extraordinary Youth' members explained that Escapes this year was like 'a reality check' with moments in worship where God spoke to him powerfully and challenged him, making him see he needed to change certain aspects to make space for God." said Net church youth pastor Andrew Jackson. 

"We were so grateful for the generous Net Church family that more than any other year sponsored young people to go. We are looking forward to 2019 - Extraordinary Escapes - The Reveal with parents and new sponsors investing into our youth!"

Life Church - Wirral
Life Church Youth Weekend Away took place at Mattersey Hall this year. Over 3 days, young people came together for a time to connect with each other, create new memories and deepen their relationship with God. 

The weekend was a great time where the young people had great fun on the slip & slide, playing bubble football and having a paint war. But on top of that, there were powerful times of worship and ministry as young people pushed into all that God had for them. 

"It was so amazing to see so many young people build new friendships and really grow in their faith in such a short space of time. There is something amazing about getting out of your comfort zone and giving God space to do what only he can do." says youth pastor Luke Andrews. 

"We are so excited to see how the young people will continue to grow and develop and are expectant for our time together in 2019 with many of the youth inviting their friends already.
