MONTHLY UPDATES FROM CERES

Ceres teen chefs worked hard to serve 300+ guests at our wonderful Harvest of the Heart event in August!

In this issue:

A Special Note to You...

We couldn't do it without you! We want to extend another huge, heartfelt thank you to all the generous people-guests, volunteers, donors and sponsors--who made our Harvest of the Harvest event such a success this year. Take a look at the following videos to experience a part of what made the night so special.

If you couldn't make it to Harvest, read on to learn about a very special fundraising concert with MaMuse at Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary on September 13. Or come to a class and learn something new about healing foods, including a brand new class on Fermentation with our Executive Chef, John Littlewood and a class in Novato to help demystify which fats are healthiest.

All the work we do together at Ceres helps create a healthier and more loving world for all, and we appreciate your work and support. If you've been thinking about volunteering, we'd love to have you attend an upcoming orientation. We have lots of open positions for both youth and adults at all of our locations. Come meet new people, learn some new skills and help us make a difference for our neighbors experiencing a health challenge. See all the orientation dates below, and please let your friends know, too!

Warmly,

Cathryn Couch
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Future Teen Chefs??

The Girls on the Run team at the Santa Rosa French-American Charter School decided to do something special for Ceres' clients The GOTR program focuses on empowering girls to become joyful, confident and healthy in the choices they make for their bodies, minds and hearts as well as their abilities to make positive change in their environment.

The girls made origami paper cranes and snapping frogs with messages of caring on them and wanted them to go to Ceres to go out to our meal recipients. We're sure our clients will love them! Many thanks to the coach and girls in the GOTR program for this lovely gesture of beauty and kindness.
