Goals for Teens
Love God Through:
- Prayer
- Bible Reading
- Weekly Teaching
Love Others Through:
UP–Side–Down Discipleship
- UP - Small Group Leader
- Be discipled by their small group leader.
- Side – Peer discipleship
- Assigned to a student in the same age group to encourage and disciple.
- Down – Younger student
- Each teen will be assigned a younger teen or Upper Elementary student to encourage and disciple.
The one question I want each student to be thinking about each week is, “How can I serve others this Sunday?”
Friction
James 1:3 & Hebrews 12:5-6 Spiritual growth involves discomfort, testing, and hard experiences. Remember this as your teen is involved in youth group. We may need to tell them hard things or confront them. They may have a bad experience or an issue with another teen in youth group. God can orchestrate these to grow your student. Don't be surprised by it.
Communicate with Rob & Leaders
If issues arise please contact me about them. If there are issues in your family, or a new difficult circumstance for your teen please let his or her small group leader know. The more we know what is going on the more we can help your teen.
