As summer is winding down, we've been busy education, eventing and designing a brave new world.

Asheville Affiliates Party Update
|
|
The next Asheville Affiliates party with a purpose is coming up Sept 13th!
Nine Years in Your Ears is a birthday bash benefit for Asheville FM 103.3. It's going to be a fun night of live music, DJ dancing, photobooth shenanigans, raffle prizes and of course free food and liquid libations for a good cause.
Asheville FM is a volunteer-based, grassroots community radio station. We want to hear music, news, and the unusual all produced right here in our neck of the woods. We want to hear sounds from around the world, discerned and distilled just for us by our neighbors. We want to help make connections between diverse groups and support the local economy of ideas.
To create the event branding, I collaborated with the creative folks at the station including local tattoo artist, entrepreneur and all around artistic powerhouse Kitty Love of Sky People Tattoo on the concept. I hand illustrated the record cake design and Kitty provided some neo classic tattoo sparrow drawings to add to mix.

There is also a brand new clean and crisp Asheville Affiliates website thanks to friend and fellow board member, the super talented Katie Rotanz of Rotanz Design. Go check it out and show Katie some love.

New Affiliates Gear
Thanks to our buds at Asheville Screen Printing there's now a selection of Asheville Affiliates shirts you can order to show your support for our non profit community. Our Party with a Purpose model has helped over 50 non profits raise over $500,000 in the last 19 years! I whipped up a few fun designs along with classic basic logo styles.

Full Steam Ahead
I recently complete a new logo design for the Hall Fletcher Elementary Parent Family Team (that's the new name for the PTO there.) Hall Fletcher is a local STEAM focused elementary school with an amazing community os parents and students.

Full disclosure, my kids go there so I may be just a wee bit partial. We wen't for a fun whimsical illustrative feel that captured the youthful student energy and incorporated iconography suggestive of the science, technology, engineering and art focus. The paw is a big part of the school brand and token reward system.

|
I'd like to extend a warm welcome to our new client Higher Health Coaching. Rachel is a healthy living tour de force with a degree in nutrition. Having spent over a decade teaching yoga and wellness, she brings a holistic approach to coaching successful professionals to level up and achieve a healthy lifestyle now.
