President's Message

As the unofficial end of summer approaches, I am reflective about all the good times I’ve had with this club. Joining the Lakewood Women’s Club nearly six years ago marks the beginning of a strong network of friendships, civic engagement, and professional support that I could have only imagined at the time. This group has it all – teachers, marketers, chemists, stay at home moms, neurobiologists, attorneys, photographers, entrepreneurs, civil servants, athletes, and more – and this diversity is part of what makes our group so impactful. Even as those women move in and out of our group, we still hold them close and cherish the moments when we get to reconnect with them. We kicked off the 2018-2019 year by doing just that – with our annual summer picnic. New and old members alike gathered to share food and stories, and plan for the coming year. 

I am excited to be President this year, excited to be part of our wonderful community, and excited to make a difference, while making lifelong friends. See you all soon!
