July Monthly Round-Up

Tip of the Month

Avoid Snacks with Peanuts
With food allergies on the rise, we must stay sensitive to the needs of students. Choose to eat snacks on the motorcoach that do not contain nuts. Also, please thoroughly wash your hands if you eat food on tour that contains peanuts.

National Park Service Proposed Fee Increases

The National Park Service (NPS) plans to charge a $5 management fee per person fee for each of their parks, memorials, monuments, seashores, and military parks, including Gettysburg and the memorials and monuments in Washington D.C beginning in October 2019.  They may consider all of the Washington D.C. area sites as one entity under "National Mall" as $5 per person instead of $5 per person for each site.  We will know more in the coming weeks as the NPS clarifies their requirements and announces which parks will receive a waiver from these fees. Our travel consultants will keep you updated with any information as it pertains to your group's itinerary. We appreciate your patience.

Just got back from a 3 day Washington, DC trip with Scholastica. Our tour guide made the trip! She is knowledgeable and extremely organized. We ran into some snafus with buses, but she worked tirelessly to make things right for our kids and maximize our time in the city. Highly recommend this company!
