Adopt a "Junky" - Giving Back A Person

We are constantly confronted with strange things in this world. When you work with people, you are always confronted with the beauty and the ugliness of people and to walk in love in all circumstances can become challenging.
I’m flooded with requests to pray with people and I love it, but the one thing I’m having difficulty with is when I’m asked by believers to pray with them about specific needs ie. Finances, but they are not willing to submit to God’s kingdom principals. You know, there is a reason why He doesn’t want you to sleep with your partner before marriage. And if we can’t even honour God in the little things, why are we expecting Him to protect our finances? Same goes for healing and unforgiveness. I realise that this is but a simple and single view of a more complicated scenario, but my heart breaks when we; the lovers of Jesus refuse to walk in the purity that He has for us. We have a different set of rules. It brings me back to the question of whether we are serving God only for the benefits in it for us or if we are serving Him because we are so in awe of His majesty?
I’ve realised that you need a revelation of God’s love in its purest form; without it we can’t love people in a way that would honour Abba Father.

Resurrection Ministries – Love Day
We visited Resurrection Ministries on the 25 th of Aug 2018. Our hearts were just to serve these beautiful people. Our team was champions in serving them. They washed and pampered the feet of the ladies. Their toes looked gorgeous by the time our ladies were done with them and the men received haircuts. They looked so handsome.
We had a beautiful time ministering to them.
- We witnessed how a man’s right ear, which was completely deaf, started hearing again
- The one lady had constant voices in her head and God touched her, no more voices. We didn’t even know that she had voices in her head. Isn’t God just amazing - healing things we didn’t know to pray for!
- Another lady had constant seizures and couldn’t see colour or look you in the eyes because of the seizures. God touched her and healed her. By the time we left all was gone and hadn’t returned.

You and I can’t even heal a headache, but God heals deaf ears and blind eyes and restores our lives to be brand new in His love!

- “Adopt a Junky” Giving back a Person
We are excited to report that the funds that we needed to place Morne in Drug Rehab came in. He is almost done with his first month. We went to visit him on Sunday and he looked like a new person. He is full of hope and will start working on a farm this week as part of his 6 months rehabilitation programme. He really needs much prayer and you can also pray with us, because he would need employment after he completed the programme to prevent him from going back to living on the streets, being exposed to many things of the past. Thank you to each person that is investing in this man’s life!
We have more people who are almost ready to quit the life of addiction.

We are hosting an all weekend worship camp. God spoke to our hearts to bring back a culture where we worship Jesus for who He is and to seek His face. We have already put in a lot of work on this event and we are super excited and are looking forward with great expectation for what God will during this weekend.
You are invited to join us on this weekend to participate in raw worship, encountering Jesus for who He is, being marked by His presence instead of listening to teachings all weekend that might only inspire you for a week or two. OpenChurch: Testimony
Every week we spend time in the word of God with our homeless friends. The past week we spoke about taking up our authority in Jesus and how it would look like if we did not depend on other people’s authority for our breakthrough. More than that, what would our lives look like when we allow Him to be who He wants to be through us? We witnessed how they took hold of that word and started worshipping God. The entire Church Square echoed with voices filled in awe of God. Prayer points
- Please pray with us for the Burn Worship weekend. We really have a lot to do and we are expecting God to meet us there in a major way. We realise that the It’s Time event is the same weekend, but God was clear not to cancel the BURN weekend.
- We are still working on a way to get the homeless guys, which has a variety of different skills, connected to the employment market. I have made some very good connections on this front. To get everything in order is a massive project and it will only be successful by the grace and favour of God.
- We are trusting for financial breakthroughs so that we can put our guys through drug rehab (a 12 Month program). Adopt a “Junky” Giving back a Person
- You can always pray for me. I have plenty of needs, but I trust the Holy Spirit within you, to guide you to pray for me.
- That we as Kingdom Culture would truly be hungry for the presence of God and would be willing to lay down our lives for Him, no matter what He asks
- Our country is going through massive turmoil on various arenas. Please pray with us that Christians would rise to the occasion & take responsibility for praying and practicing Kingdom principles.
