MEET THE ‘ADE’ STAFF
ALEXA was the first to join the household last year. She plays Enya and lite classical music from Amazon when the muse is loose. For our dog, Hannah, she changes to easy listening which seems to dwell waaay too much on Barry Manilow when we are gone. She also forecasts the weather, and answers important questions like when were chocolate chips invented and what does the lst amendment say? She tells jokes and will read aloud ANY book on my Kindle, including The Accidental Series. (Saving $$ for audio books!) She reminds me of important dates, appointments, and when to take a vitamin or a break from writing too long. “Dinner time Cj, Hannah needs a walk or Dateline is coming on! ”
DOT  lives in our bedroom, playing fall--asleep music for an hour at bedtime and wake--up music in the morning.
ECHO  mimics Alexa, and can provide a stereo effect from the upstairs loft, in hub’s work station.
ERIC is the actual “hub” of me and the staff.  As a retired IBMer, he is a one man tech squad on 24  hr. call for oops and whines and 911 threats to my laptop. With tech knowledge, and decades of marriage, he instinctively translates “that thingy isn’t doing whatcha-ma-call-it when I ding the F key,” or  “Oh, God, did I just delete a day’s work!”  P.S. Eric, claims  Alexa, Dot & Echo are the only 'women' in his life he can actually control!  Grin.

                         ROYAL  FAN of the MONTH
AUDREY LIDKE  reads about 50 books a year on her iPad. “No need to turn on a light to read!”  She likes a variety, but estimates about 80% of her selections are mysteries, many of them by new authors—some free from Bookbub. “I love Cj’s writing and await her next sequel.” Retired now, but during the last five years of her 30 year career as a counselor at RCTC (Rochester Community Tech College) she started an equine assisted therapy program, using horses as partners to effect change in relationships. Two summers were also dedicated to a regional equine assisted psychotherapy treatment program for chemically dependent adults.
Married to Kurt for 53 years, with two married children, she is also “Mom” to an 18 yr. old horse named Fletcher and 4 yr. old Molly, a therapy dog. Audrey and Molly volunteer at the airport and Olmsted Community Hospital. The family divides the year between living in a new townhouse in Rochester, MN and a Sr. community in Florence, Arizona. This avid reader also keeps mentally active playing board games and doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Physical activity includes tennis, hiking, and—no surprise-- riding Fletcher or traveling with the Gypsy Cowgirls, riding fine horses all over the country.
