Dear Fr Brucciani,
Hope you are well, I wanted to write to express my thanks and pass on my compliments on the excellent retreat that I attended at St Saviours at the end of July this year.
It was well attended with about 14 or so laymen, Fr Pazat and Fr McLaughlin and all the dedicated people supporting this retreat must have had their work cut out, however everything went completely smoothly with each day being a completely prayerful experience and also a highly educational one, I came back with a book filled with notes and some really good stories. As my first retreat I had few specific expectations but I honestly think it was one of the best things I've done.
The Fathers were very generous with their time and I had the opportunity for almost daily one to one guidance, I had a real opportunity to straighten a few things out and re-assess where I am, they really listened and took an interest and provided good advice. It was a privilege to hear some of the anecdotes and stories they had and to benefit from their example of faith and selflessness.
I don't think I will ever forget "the retreat", I come as somewhat of an "outsider" on many levels having only come to the church in my adulthood and only started attending the traditional mass in the past few years, needless to say I was made very welcome at all times.
Without doubt it has left a lasting positive impact, and I will recommend it to others without hesitation.
