The St. Cecilia Society is delighted to present this special concert event, featuring the Academy of Sacred Drama with the modern premiere of the oratorio Il Nascimento di Mosè (1682) by Vincenzo de Grandis.

The evening will include a short talk on the context of the oratorio, as well as a light reception.

Admission is free; donations will be gratefully accepted, with proceeds benefiting the sacred music program, particularly future concerts.
The Academy of Sacred Drama is a NYC-based artistic and intellectual community that is revitalizing culture through the exploration of sacred dramatic music. Oratorio performances and salon concerts feature the music and libretti of works rarely or never heard in modern times accompanied by lectures and refreshments.
