Haunted Library is October 19th and 20th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM each night, and the Library will ONLY BE OPEN for the event on those two days! Tickets are on sale now at the Library. Prices are $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under 13. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Longview Public Library, and no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Limited number of tickets available for purchase, and those who purchase tickets before the event receive line priority. The Haunted Library is a full-fledged haunted house, complete with fake blood, various frights, and high-impact scares; therefore, it is recommended for ages 10+. Music and Movement
We're pleased to announce a new weekly program for kids beginning in September: Music and Movement! Children ages 0-5 and their caregivers join us for early exposure to music. We we will have fun singing, dancing, listening to a story, and interacting with instruments! Program lasts about 30 minutes. Mondays at 10:30 AM. For more information, please call (903) 237-1345
Our monthly Adult Crafts return on September 8th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM! We will be creating with paint pouring. While basic paint colors will be provided, we encourage you to bring any of your own unique acrylic paint colors you might want to use! These could be standard 2oz bottles that many stores sell for $0.99 apiece. Space is limited, and registration is required. Ages 18+ only. Please call (903) 237-1350 for more info or to register!

Back by popular demand! Bring your dancing shoes to the Library on Thursday, September 27th from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM for Salsa Lessons w/ Kevin! From 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM, beginners and people who wish to practice the basics of salsa dancing can come for a more formal lesson. Then from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM, the floor will be open for dancing as our guides give tips and pointers! Bringing a partner (whether romantic or friend) is recommended, but not required. Solo attendees may be paired with a stranger. Space is limited, and registration is requested. Ages 18+ only please. For more info or to register, please call (903) 237-1350.

In celebration of the addition of 153 new graphic novels made possible by the Texas Book Festival Collection Enhancement Grant, we will be hosting an Animanga Con event on September 29th from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM! There will be a costume contest (Three Suns Unlimited gift card awarded to winner), anime/manga trivia, character preference debate, and much more! Attendees are welcome to come dressed as their favorite anime, manga, or superhero character, but a costume is not required. Please keep costumes appropriate. Any attendees wearing attire that is too revealing will be asked to change or leave. For props, no metal or projectile weapons are allowed, and all guns must have an orange tip. Light snacks provided. Ages 13+ only. Please call (903) 237-1350 for more info!
