Mapping Future Change
Small Area Plans are designed to focus planning efforts in areas where neighborhood character is lacking or threatened. In preparation for this project the Planning and Development Services Department worked with the Texas State Geography Department to analyze growth pressures in San Marcos Neighborhoods. Schedule A Small Group Meeting
Do you know of a community group or neighborhood organization that has an interest in planning for San Marcos neighborhoods? These meetings can be used to inform, deliberate, and provide input about the Small Area Plan Program. Click this link to schedule a small group meeting.

Over the next few months the Planning and Development Services Department will be collecting input and meeting with neighborhood groups and other City Boards and Commissions. Applications will be available to neighborhood representatives and community organizations wishing to participate in the Small Area Plan Program beginning in December. Key upcoming dates and meetings include:
- Small Area Plan Survey - Open from Sept. 4 - October 19
- Open House and Presentation - October 24; 5:30 - 7:30 @ Price Center
- City Council Work Session - November 20; 4:30 - 5:30 @ City Hall
