RELEASE NOTIFICATION
The latest update of Ilios is now available for immediate use. This release,
v3.54.0, contains a number of enhancements and improvements to the core application. Notable among them:
Session Instructional Notes: Similar to Learning Material instructional notes, Sessions now have -- along with the already available Description field - an "instructional note" field. Visible only to authorized users (faculty, admin), this field can be used to identify any ongoing information at the session level which is desirable to be shared among teaching and administrative users. Its content is not displayed to students.
Faster Login: We have markedly decreased the initial login/load time for users at shibboleth-enabled schools, making it even easier to access the system.
Updated Icons: We've improved the iconography across the platform, making it more flexible and better suited to varied mobile and desktop device displays.

How to Update Your Frontend:
The Ilios frontend is always up-to-date on our content-delivery servers at Amazon S3, but you will need to regularly run a console command on your backend instance in order ensure that your users are seeing the latest version and that they are getting all the latest features and bugfixes. To make sure you users are receiving the latest frontend code at all times, just follow the steps described here:

Though you will probably never need to deploy the Ilios 3 Frontend on your own servers, the source for the frontend code can always be found at https://github.com/ilios/frontend/releases.
