Intergenerational Worship Workshop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Join Faith Formation Ministries on September 29, from 9am-3pm, to learn about spiritual formation in the home. Syd Hielema and Jill Friend will present on four important topics to help us strengthen our families and church: connecting the dots between worship, home and other church ministries; strengthening and growing an intergenerational (IGEN) leadership culture; naming and nurturing IGEN strengths already in the congregation; and faith storytelling ideas to bless an IGEN culture. Zachary King - Over 30 energetic young Haitians had braved a hurricane to learn about pastoral care, stewardship, and preaching. Many of them literally had to wade into the building. Greg Sinclair - Our church is in many ways a suffering church – losing influence in an increasingly secular society, still feeling the painful effects of the discussions about women in office, losing members to other denominations, divided by our particular theologies.
