Join us for a refreshing morning of trail work! Work is moving forward on the newest trail on the property. The majority of the trail has been roughed in, but still requires a lot of finish work and fine tuning. The work will be moderately strenuous, require some hiking, and include the use of hand tools such as McLeods, pick mattocks, and your brawn. You will sweat, but you will have fun. We could be up to a 20 minute hike from vehicles, so it is a good idea to bring a backpack to carry water, snacks, clothes, etc.

Summer Forestry Project

Last year, Parks & Open Space thinned 65 acres as part of a wildfire risk reduction grant. Now that the trees have been removed, volunteers are needed to help put the finishing touches on this area. Work may include thinning small diameter trees, dragging slash (limbs from trees) away from trees, and rehabbing impacts from forestry equipment.

National Public Lands Day Weed Pull

In celebration of National Public Lands Day, help us get ready for the long awaited opening of this prized trail in Boulder County. Get a sneak peak of the restored trail corridor since it was destroyed by the 2013 flood. We will be pulling weeds to prepare for the final plantings prior to the opening.
Please note that this property is still closed to the public. Only registered participants will be allowed on the property for the duration of the project.
