It's been one hell of a week. I am going to working on the Kickstarter on Saturday and submitting it for approval by Saturday night. But that's not what really is frustrating me.
During this week, Peter Simeti (founder of Alterna Comics) got viciously attacked online. I'm still fuzzy as to exactly why. Some say it's because they didn't like people who were associating, even vaguely, with him. Some say it's because there was anger and jealousy over his success. Some say it's because people are just jerks.
I did defend him. To be honest, people rarely (if ever) defended me online. I could not just sit by and watch someone be attacked for ridiculous reasons. There is a point to all this.
As Bill & Ted said from "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"....be excellent to each other.
Don't act like a douchebag. I learned that the hard way. I had to work on social skills in order to succeed at crowdfunding and to build fans for Sunnyville Stories.
The people of Sunnyville are nice to each other. They say "hello" to each other, they say "please" and "thank you", they don't trade petty insults and so on. Is it so hard for adults to behave this way in our modern world?
Please...be excellent to each other.
