Greetings from O'Brien Guitars

This past week was a blast having Spanish luthier, player, artist, poet, composer, and part time bull fighter, Paco Chorobo and his wife here from Spain. In one week five students built a Flamenco guitar with Paco in the traditional Spanish solera method. It was a great time including attending a Flamenco concert complete with dancers and singers at a castle here in Colorado and a visit in the shop from Flamenco artist René Heredia. He brought his 1940 Domingo Esteso guitar for us to look at and hear. Congratulations to those that were able to participate in the class this year.
For those that were not able to attend but are still interested in building or learning more about Flamenco guitar, Paco and I did an online course a few years ago that is much more than a how to course on Flamenco guitar construction. It is a true documentary and immersion into the Flamenco guitar and culture.
Here are some pics from the class as well as some videos of Paco playing the guitar that I built along with the students in the course. Enjoy!
BTW - There is talk of doing this course again next year so if you are interested, go ahead and let me know as only a few students will be selected for this popular course.

If you are interested in learning to build guitars or just want
to see how I build my guitars then schedule a class with me.
If you are in need of a concert quality classical or steel string
guitar then let me know as I would love to build a guitar for you.

Thank you,
