Returning Officer Needed
An impartial volunteer is needed to oversee of the SAC elections. If you can help out with accepting self-nomination forms, overseeing the voting process and announcing the results, please contact the main office.
SAC (Parent Council) Elections
All parents are welcome and encouraged to join the SAC Executive by running for one of the positions. These positions are usually acclaimed or people shuffle between positions so that all those who would like to sit on the Executive council may do so. (If there does happen to be too many people for all the positions, a balloted election will take place on September 25th.) For more information or to put your name forward for a position, please complete the self-nomination form [pdf].
Other ways to do your share
Looking to get involved within the Duke community, but don't have the time to join SAC? We are always on the look out for volunteers to help with the varied events we run throughout the year -- including pizza lunches, movie nights, the Halloween Dance and more. You can sign up to volunteer for an hour or two, or put your hand up to be on the organizing committee of our big events like the Holiday Breakfast, the Parent Social or the spring Creator Fair. If you are interested in signing up to be added to the general volunteer list, send an email to volunteer@dukesac.ca.
