We're celebrating! The 2018 summer retreat season has officially ended, and we are honored by the dedication of the staff, teachers, mentors, donors, parents, and youth who made it possible. 300+ teens and young adults attended iBme retreats across the US, Canada, and in the UK!

Want to join us on retreat? Our New Year's Teen Retreats are open for registration. (They do fill up quickly, so get an application started if you're interested.)
What's the most important thing you learned?
We asked teens on the Colorado Retreat in July this question. Here is what they said:

... how to work on spreading love to others and myself.
... how to become more aware of myself and see new parts of my mind.
... self love, and a sense of community.
... how to find a deep and authentic care for both myself and others.
... that quiet and stillness is okay.
... how special your relationship with yourself and others can be once you allow yourself to become more aware.
... that there is no greater power than love.

Mindfulness in Educational Settings
Around the country, more and more schools and colleges are bringing mindfulness to their students. While programs vary in how they are offered, they all contribute to equipping young people with invaluable skills and creating a more mindful and compassionate world.

In 2009, Middlesex School in Concord, Massachusetts, made a commitment to mindfulness, beginning with a school assembly and optional Sunday afternoon sessions. Since 2011, the Director of Mindfulness Programs, Doug Worthen, has developed their offerings to include an Introduction to Mindfulness course (required for freshmen), courses for parents, retreats, and more.

“Mindfulness has been by far the most valuable class I’ve ever taken. The practice of mindfulness has made me more equipped to deal with life.” —Middlesex student
