BOOK MATCH: An Acronym for Helping Students Choose Books to Read

Researchers Linda Wedwick Haling and Jessica Ann Wurtz have come up with the acronym BOOKMATCH to identify nine key criteria to consider when looking for something to read: Book length, Ordinary language, Organization, Knowledge prior to reading, Manageable text, Appeal of genre, Topic appropriateness, Connection and High interest.
