Dear friends,

We hope that you have had an enjoyable Summer. Stephen's wife, Rachel, gave birth to a baby boy, John-Paul Joseph Callaghan and they would like to express their thanks to everyone for their kindness and prayers. We have been busy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where our Theatre Production on St Mungo was warmly welcomed. Here, at St Mungo's, our volunteers have been busy organising the equipment and props ready for our next shows.

We are looking for actors, particularly aged 16-30, and have plenty of Theatre productions in the pipeline, which would be an excellent opportunity for someone interested in taking part. If you, or anyone you know are intrigued, please take a look at the information below which outlines all our upcoming acting opportunities and details of when and where the rehearsals take place.

Our monthly events start up again in October:
Film & Faith Club on Thursday 4th October and Lectio Divina on Tuesday 2nd October. The Film will be The Greatest Showman
so book your place by emailing info@agap.org.uk or call 0141-552-5527 and tell us which screening time you would prefer.  It is also listed on Eventbrite (www.eventbrite.co.uk) and here is a link if you want to reserve a place online.

God Bless,

The AGAP Team

Interested in acting in AGAP's forthcoming theatre productions? We are planning productions for Arts in Autumn 2018, Christmas 2018 and for Lentfest 2019:

Arts in Autumn 2018: We intend to re-vamp our 2011 hit production "The Turnaround". It's a modern-day parable set in a Glasgow soup kitchen. Male and female roles. Rehearsals will be on Monday evenings at 7pm from mid-September. Performances early-mid November 2018. Some additional rehearsals closer to the performance.

Christmas 2018: We are planning a brand new touring production based upon the Nativity. Rehearsals will be on weekday afternoons TBC. (Retired/Students/Non-working people welcome). Performances December 2018.

Lentfest 2019: Our touring production will be a modern telling of the Passion of Jesus Christ. Rehearsals on Monday evenings at 7pm and sometimes on Thursday evenings. Performances mid March - early April. Possibility of future performances e.g. Edinburgh Fringe.

All of the above productions will be directed by Stephen Callaghan and rehearsals will take place at AGAP, St Mungo's Retreat, 52 Parson Street, Townhead G4 0RX.

Interested? Request a call back at 0141 552 5527, email: info@agap.org.uk or PM us to arrange a relaxed no-pressure audition and discuss availability. Our theatre productions are great fun, but they're also hard work and require dedication. We're particularly keen to hear from people aged 16-30. Experience is not essential.

Opportunities for Schools

Stephen has been busy planning and preparing new workshops for Primary and Secondary Schools. He has put together a new booklet and we will be sending it out to all the schools in Glasgow over the next couple of weeks.

The information will soon be available on our website so we'll keep you informed.  If you are interested in booking a workshop, please contact AGAP on 0141-552-5527 or email info@agap.org.uk.
