Have you seen these "Sharrows"?
The City of Texarkana, TX has been working hard on the streets downtown! One way streets are now two way, with increased parking and "sharrows," reminding you to be courteous and share the road with bikes. We love seeing this progress in #downtownTexarkana!

1. What drew you downtown as a place to open your business?
I've always loved downtown Texarkana. I actually came down here one day to look for a dress at Tejas Trade and saw that they were closed. I loved the building, so I did some research to find out who owned it. The back of this place is so unique, you're in the city but it's like you're in the country.
2. Do you have a favorite downtown moment or memory?
The Christmas parade. My family and I live in between Fouke and Doddridge, but I have probably been to the Christmas parade every year that it's been going, whatever the weather.
3. Tell us something interesting you've found in your building.
We found a glass doorknob out in the back. The building owner says this place dates back to the 1800s, it's been a lawyer's office, an architect's office, a recording studio... when the current owner bought it he had to have a large safe removed. It had land deeds and other paperwork inside.
4. What do you want people to know about your business?
I love feeding people. I hope to eventually expand and have some seating where people can come in and sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and some dessert. We have slices of cake, cookies and fudge.
5. What would you like to see downtown in the future?
Every building filled. We have some beautiful architecture here and I would love to see all of it filled.
