Dear Everyone,
It was back to school for us last week as classes began again after a fabulous Summer recess. It is great to see the Studio busy again and we are looking forward to some exciting classes this Autumn as the sewing season begins in earnest - find out more further on.
We often feel that perhaps we are a best kept secret, nestled here on the South Coast of England. We have a fantastically loyal band of customers who support us wonderfully, but we would just love more enthusiastic crafters to enjoy our bright, contemporary fabrics, wide range of sewing machines and the wealth of experience we have to offer, in Jo in particular, who really is our Eclectic Maker and without whom we would not be. So we are delighted to say that thanks to the fabulous support we have received we have made it through the nomination stage to a shortlist of five for the final vote in the Best Independent Retailer – South of England category of Sew Magazine’s British Sewing Awards this year. We are also very excited to say that we have now added knitting to our range of products. Starting with Rowan’s best-selling felted tweed which includes Kaffe Fassett's new colours for Autumn and Winter. For so long now we have regularly been asked if we sell wool and now we are pleased to say that we do! Take a look at our Rowan wool, Kaffe's Colours pattern book and Pony pins and watch this space for more to come.
